OIL PAINTINGS

Until 2009 I painted with oil paint because it is traditionally a classic material and offers fine possibilities to mix colors pasty. I make the design with diluted oil paint and then follow thin layers of paint that are becoming fuller of pigment. This creates more depth in the painting.
Monumental forms dominate here in these abstract paintings.
Because the long drying process prevented me from working properly and also the penetrating air of the turpentine oil became disturbing, I switched to acrylic paint. Here I have to get used to at first. Especially the mixing of the paint on the canvas is disappointing, but on the other hand the drying time is short and I can therefore continue quickly.
